Thai Le Interior Design takes safety very seriously in any design – for both children and adults. Here are the safety standards we always adhere to:
Round off sharp and pointed corners.
For sharp and pointed corners of furniture, Thai Le Interior Design designers will provide solutions to help you thoroughly handle potential dangers for your children.
Anchor tall cabinets to the wall.
Tall and large cabinets need to be anchored to the wall, especially in children's spaces. When securely anchored, your cabinet system will not suddenly fall over in a natural disaster. Or if children try to climb to get something, the cabinet will not fall on them.
Using industrial wood with core wood that meets standards to emit gas emissions below the allowable threshold.
Most types of industrial wood contain a large amount of glue that binds the wood molecules together. The main additive in the glue contains a lot of toxic Formaldehyde molecules. When released into the air, they can penetrate through the skin, breath and food. At Thai Le Interior Design, we only use wood that contains extremely low levels of Formaldehyde at the allowable threshold, and does not affect human health, especially the development of young children.
Minimize the use of metal to avoid electromagnetic radiation.
The excessive use of metal in furniture is the main cause of electromagnetic radiation between furniture and electrical appliances in the house. With important furniture such as beds, Thai Le Interior Design tries to minimize the use of metal in furniture products to ensure the health of your family.
Use standard bed rails.
Thai Le Interior Design's standard bed slats ensure maximum thickness and elasticity. This makes the bed more sturdy, and your sleep will also be much more comfortable.
Use low lead paint.
Lead is a hazardous substance to health. Therefore, the 2K paint used by Thai Le Interior Design contains very little lead, which makes interior products safe, especially for children.
Smooth opening and closing drawer handles.
We will make the drawer open and close smoothly. Children trying to pull a stuck drawer can easily cause the cabinet to fall on them.
Soft-close hinges prevent children from getting their hands caught in the door.
It is dangerous if a door opens and closes too forcefully. This can cause not only children but also adults to easily crush their fingers. Therefore, we always use soft-close hinges for our furniture products.
Install stops for children's drawers.
If requested, Thai Le Interior Design will install a stop in the child's drawer, usually the drawer is pulled out 2/3 is enough. Pulling out the drawer too far can change the weight of a cabinet system and it will be very easy to fall.
Place attractive furniture within children's reach.
In the space dedicated to children, Thai Le Interior Design designers often use low shelves and minimal decoration in the upper areas, to avoid the attraction of active children to the display items. Depending on the age of your child, we will provide the most suitable solutions.
